Security tape
December 27, 2023
Water-activated adhesive tapes used in boxes/cases/bags, etc., when torn, can damage the fibers of the surface to be affixed, thereby creating a visible loss effect to the naked eye. Better Packages, Inc. of Connecticut, USA, introduced BetterSeal-type water-activated tapes and automatic tape systems. In addition, the company will demonstrate a UV-safe printer that can print anti-counterfeit codes on tape by using an ink that is invisible to the naked eye and can only be detected with a black light scanner. This device can also help users check the package and quickly detect damage or tampering that is invisible to the naked eye.
SHEP, Massachusetts, USA, will introduce heat-resistant, cold- and moisture-resistant pressure-sensitive tapes and labels that can be used for anti-counterfeiting of cartons/cartons/bags. After being damaged or tampered, these pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes can immediately show visible traces. It has a serrated edge that effectively prevents damage to the tape or tearing attempts.
The surface of SHEP HG53 type printable tape and labels has been specially treated. HG33 tape is made from biaxially stretched film. Both tapes can be made of kraft paper or PET substrates. When the tape is broken or torn, the white “VOID” appears, reminding the user that the package may have been damaged or forged. According to needs, HG system tape can also have blue, red, blue and yellow or other user-requested colors. (International Packaging Business)
